Days of Awe 2024 / 5785

We are looking forward to welcoming you and your family to the upcoming Days of Awe services this September and October.

We are thrilled to announce that, following the success of last year’s Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services at JCoSS as well as in our synagogue building, we will be repeating the same arrangement this year. As a growing community, it is essential to embrace change and move forward together, while preserving our cherished traditions.

Community and continuity are more important now than ever. We stand as a source of support, inspiration, and strength, celebrating our joys and helping each other in times of sorrow. We face this year, 5785, together and ready to live meaningfully with whatever it brings.

Once again, being at JCoSS will allow our community to gather in one space accompanied by our wonderful choir.  Our choir, led by Musical Director Louise Katin, always brings a spiritual and uplifting dimension to our services, enhancing our prayers and enriching our shared experience; this is especially poignant during the Days of Awe.

We are also excited to offer a special service for children and teenagers on the mornings of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. These services are designed to be engaging and meaningful, providing an opportunity for our younger members to bond and learn together. Through interactive activities, storytelling, and age-appropriate discussions, our children and teenagers will explore the significance of the High Holy Days, fostering a deeper understanding and connection to their faith and community.

The beautiful and airy building at JCoSS provides ample seating areas for you to relax and catch up with old friends, enjoying the sense of community that defines our congregation.

If you are unable to join us in person, some of the services will be available to watch online.

Shanah tovah, we wish you a sweet and meaningful New Year.
