Midweek Group – Thursdays, 10.00 am – 11.00 am (Online via Zoom)

For the moment Midweek Group is continuing to meet online on Thursday mornings to study, learn and share.

The Group has a genuine desire to experience Jewish teaching and learning and to find in that tradition what is ours to access and enjoy.

Emeritus Rabbi Colin Eimer facilitates the Group. Like any good teacher Rabbi Eimer has a view of the wider picture but doesn’t lecture. Rabbi Eimer chooses the texts and the Group comes together to see what meanings they might have for our daily lives.

Those starting points might be an ancient text, or a modern one; a contemporary issue; sometimes a poem or even just a photo. It’s in that sharing of views, reactions, understandings that the hour really takes off. Discussions often take an un-expected turn and individual contributions are always valued. Stimulation comes from listening to other people’s ideas, opinions and insight.

Cost:

There is a small charge for the term, which usually consists of seven or eight sessions. We ask that once you do ‘sign up’ you commit to attending.
