6.00 pm – Community Seder

7.30 pm – Yom Hashoah – An Evening of Memories

Join us for an evening of reflection, music and testimony as we honour the memory of the six million Jews murdered in the Holocaust, and all victims of Nazi persecution. We are honoured to welcome the acclaimed Zemel Choir, whose powerful harmonies will help us reflect, remember and connect. We also welcome our guest speaker Peter Summerfield, who was born in Berlin and escaped to the UK as a child with his parents and brother in 1939 at the age of six. All are welcome.

Tuesday 21

6.45 pm – Yom HaAtzmaut Event

Join us for a special evening marking 78 years since the Declaration of Israel’s independence in May 1948. This year, we unite with Elstree Liberal, Southgate Progressive, and Radlett Reform synagogues to commemorate both Yom HaZikaron and Yom HaAtzmaut in a unique and meaningful way, with speakers, and music from our choir. Join us for an opportunity to celebrate, learn, dance and reflect. The evening will conclude with a delightful gathering over food, where you can reconnect with old friends and make new ones in the spirit of community. 10.30 am – Special Service & Kiddush in Memory of Estelle Gilston z”l 

We will be holding a very special Shabbat service, featuring our wonderful choir, in the legacy of Estelle Gilston z”l, Life President of Sha’arei Tsedek. Estelle was a true leading light, deeply committed to the well-being of every member and every aspect of synagogue life. With this in mind, at this service we will also officially welcome our newly appointed Life President, Roz Levenson.
