Coming Together for Yom HaAtzmaut 2026

An Evening of Reflection, Celebration and Community

Tuesday 21 April | 6.45pm

This April, Sha’arei Tsedek North London Reform Synagogue invites you to a special evening marking Yom Ha-Atzma’ut—Israel’s Day of Independence.

As we mark 78 years since the Declaration of the State of Israel in 1948, this gathering offers a meaningful opportunity not only to celebrate, but also to reflect. In partnership with The Liberal Synagogue Elstree, Radlett Reform Synagogue and Southgate Progressive Synagogue, we will come together as one community to share in both Yom Ha-zikkaron and Yom Ha-Atzma’ut.

The evening has been thoughtfully designed to hold both remembrance and joy. Through music, conversation and shared experience, we create space to honour those who have been lost, while also celebrating the resilience, culture and spirit of Israel today.

You can expect an engaging and welcoming programme, including Israeli song and dance, food and time to connect, as well as opportunities for learning and discussion. The evening will culminate in a special service, featuring our Yom Ha-Atzma’ut choir.

Whether you join us every year or are attending for the first time, this promises to be a warm, uplifting and meaningful community event.

A £6.00 contribution towards supper would be appreciated.

We look forward to welcoming you.
