Days of Awe 2025 / 5786 at Sha’arei Tsedek

Shana Tovah! We look forward to spending the Days of Awe with you, as we gather for reflection, renewal, and community.

Services at JCoSS and the Synagogue

Following the success of the past two years, we’re delighted to continue offering High Holy Day services both at JCoSS and in our own synagogue. The larger space at JCoSS enables us to accommodate our growing community and allows our full choir to participate in the festival services. Their music brings a powerful sense of reflection, beauty, and connection—enhancing the spiritual atmosphere of these sacred days.

Honouring Our Connections with Israel

This year, we hold Israel especially close in our hearts. We recognise the diverse views and personal connections within our congregation, and we honour them all. What unites us is our shared sense of peoplehood and our commitment to care, respect, and mutual support.

As part of that commitment, our Days of Awe Appeal will include a focus on Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency medical service. In a year of significant challenges for Israel and Jewish communities around the world, supporting MDA is a powerful expression of our compassion, responsibility, and solidarity. Your contribution can help save lives.

Services for Children and Teenagers

On the mornings of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, we will run separate, age-appropriate services for children, families, and teenagers. Led by dedicated teams, these sessions explore the themes, music, and prayers of the season in an engaging and meaningful way—helping young people deepen their connection to Jewish life and to our community.

Community Moments and Online Access

The bright, open spaces at JCoSS offer plenty of room to pause and reconnect—whether you’re catching up with old friends or meeting someone new. These informal moments are a treasured part of our communal experience.

If you’re unable to join us in person, many of our services will be available to watch online via Zoom.

Get Involved: Volunteering and Stewarding

Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. This year, we’ll be inviting members to help with stewarding, kiddush, and other service-related roles. If you’re not contacted directly but would like to take part, please check our weekly emails, or contact the synagogue office on 020 8445 3400.
