Days of Awe 5787 / 2026 at Sha’arei Tsedek

Shana Tovah

We look forward to welcoming you to Sha’arei Tsedek for the Days of Awe 5787.

Whether you are a long-standing member, returning after some time away, or joining us for the first time, we hope you’ll find a warm welcome, meaningful worship and a strong sense of community throughout this special season.

The Days of Awe invite us to pause, reflect and reconnect – with ourselves, with one another and with our Jewish values. Together, we begin the New Year with hope, gratitude and the opportunity for renewal.

Celebrating Together

Once again, our Days of Awe celebrations will take place across both JCoSS and Sha’arei Tsedek, allowing us to welcome our growing community while creating a warm and inspiring festival experience.

The larger venue enables us to gather together for our main services and enjoy the beautiful music of our full choir, whose singing brings a special sense of reflection, spirituality and joy to these sacred days.

Alongside our worship, there will be many opportunities to reconnect with friends, welcome new faces and celebrate the New Year together as one community.

Service Information

Members will receive a comprehensive Days of Awe pack containing service information, booking details and everything they need to prepare for the festivals.

If you are interested in joining us and are not currently a member, we’d be delighted to hear from you. Please contact the synagogue office and we’ll be happy to help.

Children, Families and Young People

The Days of Awe are a special time for every generation.

Children, families and teenagers are warmly invited to take part in dedicated festival programmes designed especially for them. Through stories, music, prayer and interactive activities, young people can explore the meaning and traditions of the High Holy Days in a welcoming and engaging environment.

We look forward to celebrating the New Year together as a community.

Joining Us Online

For those who are unable to attend in person, selected services will be available online, helping members remain connected wherever they are.

Further information will be shared with members before the festivals.

Days of Awe Appeal 5787

The Days of Awe are a time for reflection, renewal and generosity. As we come together in prayer, we also have the opportunity to strengthen our community and support those who care for others.

Your support for Sha’arei Tsedek helps us remain a welcoming, vibrant and secure home for our community. It enables us to continue providing inspiring services, opportunities to learn, celebrate and connect, while ensuring that everyone can gather together safely. Above all, your generosity helps us give our children and teenagers positive experiences that strengthen their Jewish identity and their sense of belonging.

This year we are also proud to support Hatzola HBS, whose volunteer emergency responders provide rapid, lifesaving medical care across our local Jewish community. Their dedication, compassion and professionalism make a vital difference every day of the year.

Whether you choose to support the synagogue, Hatzola HBS, or both, every gift is greatly appreciated and helps make a positive difference.

Members will find full details of the appeal, together with a donation form, in their Days of Awe pack.

Volunteering

The warmth of our Days of Awe celebrations is made possible by the many volunteers who generously give their time before and during the festivals.

Whether welcoming members, helping behind the scenes or supporting our hospitality, every act of kindness helps create the welcoming atmosphere that makes Sha’arei Tsedek so special.

If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you.
