Celebrate Purim With Us
Get your costumes and noisemakers ready for Purim, the festival of joy and laughter!
Purim is a time for joy, creativity, and coming together as a community — and this year at Sha’arei Tsedek, we’re marking the festival with two special events, offering something for all ages.
The Magic of Purim – Children & Families
Sunday 1 March | 11.00 am – 12.30 pm
Please arrive from 10.45 am
Families are warmly invited to join us for The Magic of Purim, a lively morning of storytelling, music, and imagination.
The event will feature a Wicked-themed Purim Spiel performed by our very own Sha’arei Tsedek Religion School players, followed by storytelling and live music with Rosanna Ter-Berg.
Rosanna is a talented performer and animateur with over 15 years’ experience in theatre, having performed in major concert venues, underground caves, and West-End productions including Emilia and Fiddler on the Roof.
You can also enjoy games, a Purim parade, and of course Hamantaschen! Children (and grown-ups!) are encouraged to come dressed in their best Purim costumes and join in the fun.
Purim – Movie Masquerade Evening
Monday 2 March 2026 | 7.30 pm – 9.30 pm
On Monday evening, Purim takes on a Hollywood twist with ‘Movie Masquerade in Shushanwood’, an evening designed for adults and the wider community.
Enjoy cocktails, mocktails, and canapés, a movie-themed Megillah reading, an interactive quiz, and a fun awards ceremony to round off the night.
Guests are invited to dress as their favourite movie star or character, or simply dress to impress and walk the red carpet.
As part of the evening, 50% of all donations will go to FoodAid Finchley, fulfilling the mitzvah of Matanot Le’Evyonim by supporting those in need this Purim.
Donation: Members £4.00 | Guests £6.00

Whether you’re joining us with family on Sunday morning, stepping onto the red carpet on Monday evening, or both, we look forward to celebrating Purim together as a community.
